Since they are made from recycled materials each animal, bird or critter is slightly imperfect, but lovable all the same. The materials are bare metals and will rust naturally with age. You can treat them with a clear acrylic enamel spray such as Krylon or Rustoleum. Yarbirds has come up with a great way to contribute to the good of the environment; they are saving rejected metal parts from ending up in a landfill. This collection is a great conversation piece; many people have fun identifying the parts that have cleverly been used to make them and they marvel at the way the simple tilt of a head can give a sculpture so much personality. Each piece is handcrafted in Kentucky. They are each beautiful works of art and have their own personality.
